New Service Announcement—Worthwhile Media Video Coaching is HERE!

Social Media apps keep changing the game and now video is queen.

You have your own ideas, complete with your own video dreams, but so far you haven’t quite mastered how to make your video content look like you want it to.

What can you do?

If hiring a full-scale production crew is beyond your budget, then you need to DIY your own videos. Easier said than done, right? But don’t worry. If you don’t know where to start or you’re wondering how you’ll create something of quality, read on.

Why Video—Why Not?

Algorithms love video and whether it’s reels or video pins, video is what’s driving social media growth.

At Worthwhile Media our client’s needs come first and we know, right now there are many people wanting to figure out video so they can reach a bigger audience and scale their business. To that end, we’re very excited to announce the launch of Worthwhile Media’s Video Coaching Packages!

This coaching service will help you take your video content to the next level when I coach you on how to create high-quality content you can be proud of. But don’t take our word for it, here is what a couple of our first clients have to say:

The tips about setting up a staging area and making sure I have what I need before I ever start were great. It was a lot to take in but the checklist document was so helpful to refer back to…it helped me remember to grab my headset. Simplifying where I needed to position myself, and being mindful of what’s in the other 2/3 of the frame were all really helpful tips.

But the biggest advantage was the one-on-one time and being able to ask questions and have them answered in real-time while working with Melissa. ”  Kimblyn Harris after her Video Coaching Session

“Throughout the coaching session, Melissa taught me skills and gave me the chance to practice and refine them with appropriate guidance. She encouraged me as I learned to use my own equipment.  Moving forward, I am confident the quality of my videos will be markedly improved!  I am eager to implement what I practiced. ” Adrienne Johnson after her Video Coaching Session

Meet Your Coach

If you’re sitting there thinking this sounds interesting, but you’re asking yourself what I bring to the table as your coach, well, allow me to introduce myself.

I’m Melissa Hollingsworth, the owner and creative director of Worthwhile Media. Before starting Worthwhile Media, I worked on academy award-winning films as a set lighting technician and countless independent films in almost any role you can imagine. I have a degree in filmmaking with an emphasis on cinematography and documentary storytelling. For years now, I’ve been operating as a photographer and content creator to create still images and copy for brands and businesses, but I am so excited to be returning to my roots in film production and to have the chance to share my knowledge and years of experience with you. During my career, I’ve worked on huge productions, but I’ve also seen my fair share of micro-budget independent shoots where it’s all about problem-solving and working with what you have. It’s this problem-solving nature and my love of a challenge that I can’t wait to share with you as we work out how you can create quality videos with the equipment you most likely already have. You can find out more about me here, but again, don’t take my word for it, have a look at what Adrienne has to say about what it’s like to work with me.

Melissa is a dynamic combination of knowledge, practical and adaptable application of skills, and a people-centered approach. Working with her was a dream! She is a knowledgeable and passionate professional with a special gift for communication and human connection. I highly recommend working with her in any capacity.” Adrienne Johnson after her Video Coaching Session

Helping You Get the Results You Need to Be Seen and Heard

If you’ve been around for a while, you know that at Worthwhile Media, we are all about creating content that is truly worthwhile and helping you tell your story. This is the whole reason why I wanted to bring this service to people. Video is such a great way to get your story out there and we know not everyone is ready to hire a crew to make it happen. There are countless tutorials online, but weeding through that information can be an exhausting proposition. I realized this offering was an opportunity to bring my knowledge directly to the many people that need it and are wanting to figure out video for themselves.

Here is what one of our first clients, Kimblyn, had to say after I was able to help her work through the problems she was having with editing her video during our video editing session together:

This morning it felt like it was going to take me all year to get this video edited.  There was so much that I didn’t know or wasn’t sure about. I was literally in YouTube hell this morning looking at tutorial videos with the shortest one being 35 minutes, sitting through content that just isn’t relevant. Some of it’s helpful, but I knew I’d have to weed through hours of video just to get the four things I needed.

After working with Melissa today in our editing session I’m now in a really good place to edit and finalize the details of my video…I’m feeling good.” Kimblyn Harris on her Video Editing Session

I’ve been there before, believe me. I’ve gone to the internet countless times for the answers I need for how to do something, but nothing compares to being able to ask your questions directly to the person you know has the answers you need. This is why I can’t wait to share this service with you!
